Schrödinger's Cat Skull
£65.00
A handmade cat skull (faux taxidermy) made from cotton calico displayed in a box. Property of Erwin Schrödinger, definitely dead.
Schrödinger’s thought experiment was designed to demonstrate that it was absurd to think that quantum particles behaved differently when viewed by a conscious observer. In this proposed experiment (conducted in a sealed box) the quantum particles, behaving as they do (either with or without an observer) would set off a poison killing a cat. Schrödinger posited that it was illogical that the cat could both be in the state of alive as well as dead. Schrödinger’s theory has since been misinterpreted to conclude that the cat is in fact both dead and alive until it has been observed to be one or the other.
The cat will arrive to you in a “Property of Schrödinger” box for display.
Because of the nature of these soft sculptures, some items may require a little bit of gentle manipulation to make them stand or sit.
This is not a toy.
