A hand made vertebra made from cotton calico, with a machine embroidered label which reads “for when you need more backbone” (the label can be easily cut off if it’s not required)

A curious piece with no particular function, this vertebra is a good luck trinket offering the hope of strength and toughness, a perfect gift for someone who has a difficult task ahead, or someone who just likes bones.

This sewn bone is made from natural coloured 100% cotton calico, I have added light detail/depth of colour/aging in acrylic paint. The label is made from dyed calico and embroidered. The stuffing is made from recycled PET- bottles or factory waste, depending on which is available at the time, making this item ethical, vegan, handmade and sustainable.
